Simpatija | Giving new life to the resort hotel

CHALLENGE

We were approached by the family who owns a prime location hotel in famous Lithuanian mineral water resort. The task was to turn a no face ordinary hotel into a place where people would like to come back.

OUR SOLUTION

We started by changing the name. So the hotel turned from ‘Credo’ (an ordinary name that says nothing about the place) into ‘Simpatija’ (a noun that describes the feeling of liking something or someone).

The new name gave us hints for a visual identity development. We aimed to reflect the nostalgic feel of the resort place and a charming lovable personality that the new hotel name suggested. The logo became a stamp that one could find on a post letter. A series of illustrations was created showcasing the most iconic places in the town. Different crops of illustrations have been used across applications and as part of interior decorations. Soft colour palette created a somewhat romantic and a bit sentimental feel that the whole town holds in itself. Along with the change of name and visual identity, hotel interior was completely revamped to deliver on the new brand promise.
