To refresh visual identity of the oldest and the biggest university in Lithuania. The new identity should be a step forward towards modern and innovative educational entity without betraying long history.
The new identity should also unite a large number of departments and represent Vilnius university as a solid, unified institution.
The crest and wordmark were simplified and updated with modern san serif font to make it more legible and easier to use. Cherry colour was maintained as a key colour – a colour that has been long associated with this institution.
Graphic language was created using architectural shapes of the key buildings of the university. Combination of those shapes can be used as a texture or for image placing.
The refreshed visual identity was applied across all key applications from print to livery and souvenirs. A simple to use brandbook was designed to aid other designers who will continue designing applications.
